SchoolStatus Additional Privacy Notice for Indiana Residents

This Additional Privacy Notice applies to residents of Indiana only. Indiana law requires businesses that determine the purpose and means of processing personal data (“Controllers”) to make certain disclosures and offer data rights. SchoolStatus provides products and solutions that support teachers, educators, coaches, counselors, and administrators at schools (our “Services”). 

This Additional Privacy Notice is addressed to the following audiences, in each case limited to Indiana residents:

• “Contacts,” which means customer account contacts or administrators.
• “Prospects,” which means customer prospects whose data we may collect online, through in-person events, through social media, or from other third parties.
• “Visitors,” which means individuals who visit our website at https://www.schoolstatus.com and who visit other websites we control and on which this notice appears (collectively, our “Website”).

These disclosures and rights may not apply where SchoolStatus does not process your personal data or where SchoolStatus processes data on behalf of its clients, such as schools. School employees, students, teachers, staff, professionals, and parents should contact our clients directly (or refer to our clients’ privacy notices) with questions about how our clients collect and process personal data.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

In addition to the uses described above, we may use the personal data listed in the chart above in order to: 

• Maintain, analyze, customize, and improve your experience on our Website and of our Services.
• Support business development, research, marketing and promotions, press inquiries or aggregate statistical analysis and site customization.

Sharing of Personal Data

We may share the following categories of personal data with the following categories of recipients:

• We may share Usage Data as defined in the “Collection and Use of Personal Information” section above to support analytics and advertising, and recipients of such data may include third parties who provide such services. In disclosing or enabling collection of such information, the data may be “sold” or processed for “targeted advertising” under Indiana law. • We may share any of the personal data categories listed above in the “Collection and Use of Personal Information” section with our service providers, which may include cloud service providers, customer relationship management solutions providers, and other professional services providers such as attorneys, auditors, tax professionals, or accountants, or others.

• We may share personal data where required by law, in order to cooperate with law enforcement or other government officials, or for other purposes, including when we have obtained your consent.

Your Indiana Privacy Rights

If you are an Indiana resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

1 ) Right to Confirm. You have the right to confirm whether or not we are processing your personal data.

2 ) Right to Access. You have the right to access your personal data that we are processing by obtaining either, subject to our discretion as permitted under law: 1) a copy of; or 2) a representative summary of, your personal data that you previously provided to us.

3 ) Right to Correct. You have the right to correct inaccuracies in your personal data that you previously provided to us, taking into account the nature of the personal data and purposes of the processing of your personal data.

4 ) Right to Delete. You have the right to delete personal data provided by or obtained about you.

5 ) Right to Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising. You have the right to opt out of the processing of your personal data for the purposes of target advertising. “Targeted advertising” means the displaying of an advertisement to you in which the advertisement is selected based on personal data obtained from your activities over time and across nonaffiliated websites or online applications to predict your preferences or interests. 6 ) Right to Opt-out of Selling. As described above, we may process personal information for targeted advertising. Otherwise, we do not sell your personal information (and we do not sell personal information we have collected to third parties for use in targeted advertising).

We may, as permitted by law, deny your request if we cannot, through commercially reasonable efforts, authenticate your request. In that case, we may request that you provide additional information reasonably necessary to authenticate you and your request. We may limit our response to your request to exercise the above rights as permitted by law.
