It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! This week we celebrate the dedicated and hardworking individuals who spend countless hours preparing lessons, grading assignments, and providing guidance and support to students. Teachers display immense resilience and creativity as they continue to put students first.

At SchoolStatus, we see firsthand the incredible impact that teachers make in the lives of their students. Many of us have been educators in our careers, and all of us have had the course of our lives changed thanks to the teachers who helped us develop into who we are today.

This Teacher Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating teachers everywhere by sharing stories about the inspirational teachers who have impacted our lives—and whose influence can still be felt today.

“My 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Gonzalez, wanted us to leave reality behind when we stepped in her classroom because she knew many of her students didn’t have the best lives at home. She taught a lesson on the Taino and let us turn the entire lobby into a jungle. She took us camping overnight and found a way to tie art into every lesson she taught. She and I are still friends.”
